Scan it once. Know it everywhere.
Every bottle in BarStock has its barcodes and its picture. Point a phone or the bar iPad at a label, or use a Bluetooth scanner, and the bottle comes up with its photo, its size and where it lives.
- Phone or iPad camera, no extra hardware.
- Bluetooth scanners that type the code work in every scan box.
- Several barcodes per bottle: when a label changes, the new barcode links to the same bottle and keeps its history.
One scan, the right action for the screen
The scan box knows what you’re doing. The same beep means something different on each screen.
Scan as you go down the shelf; each scan is +1 on that bottle, and the row jumps into view.
Scan what came off the truck and compare it with the invoice and the order.
Scan each bottle as you pull it for the bar, so the pick matches what was asked.
How many, in which room, on which shelf or bin, with its photo so nobody grabs the wrong one.
A new bottle fills itself in
Scan something your bar hasn’t carried before. BarStock checks the shared BarStock catalog and fills in the name, size, category and photo. You check it, tap Add, and it’s counted.
- Product facts only: the catalog shares names, sizes and photos between bars, never prices, stock or anything about your bar.
- Wrong item? If a barcode pulls up the wrong bottle, one tap reports it and it gets fixed for every bar.
Your inventory, by sight
Take a photo of the label from the item, or use the catalog’s. From then on the picture is everywhere that bottle appears: the count screen, the pick list, Find a bottle and the request screen on the bar iPad.
- New hires find bottles faster when they can see what they’re looking for.
- The photo also measures: the bottle’s outline traced from its photo is what the open-bottle measure tool uses.
From the scan to the order
Scans keep the counts honest, and honest counts build the order.
